How To Use the Maps
There are three types of maps available to view. The loading speed is dependant on your internet connection speed.
- The map on the State and Region pages is a basic map with controls.
- The maps with checkboxes enable you to select only what you want to see or find.
- Streetview enables you to have a look around a town from street level.
Map Control for All Maps.
The map control, which is located in the left top corner of the map, is activated by placing your curser over a symbol and left clicking your mouse. The features are
- Click + to zoom in
- Click - to zoom out
- Click the arrow to make the map move in the direction it is pointed. Left, right, up or down.
- Click the box in the middle of the arrows to return to your original location.
- Drag the - box on the long bar up or down to zoom in or out (mouse is left click, hold down, drag, release)

To Zoom In, place your curser over the location and left double click with your mouse. The map will zoom in and centre the location. To Zoom Out, have your curser on the map and right double click your mouse.
Using Maps with Checkboxes
- Click the required checkbox and a location marker will appear on the map and names will appear in a list generally on the right of the map. Sometimes they will appear below the map if the information is long.
- Click the name and an information window will open giving the details and identifying the location.
- Or, if you would like see the name and details by location, click the marker and an information window will open.
Streetview Instructions
- The blue edging on the streets of the map on the left means Street View is available.
- Left Click your mouse, ONCE ONLY, with the curser over the street position you wish to view and it will open the Street View window on the right.
- To move along the street in Streetview, left click the arrow once in the direction you want to go.
- To look up, down or around, left click and hold down and drag the pointer. You can also use the controls on the screen.
- BE PATIENT - If your internet connection is slow it will take longer to move in the Street View
- To use Street View you need Adobe Flash Player Version 9 or newer installed.
