New South Wales
New South Wales is located on the east coast of Australia and has the largest population, which is just over 7 million people. The capital is Sydney. Although New South Wales lies in a temperate zone, the climate types do vary. In the mountains there is snow during winter and on the plains it is semi arid. The outback experiences extreme heat but the coast, particularly around Sydney can have a mediteranean climate with humidity.
