| Seymour, Victoria | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
Seymour Victoria has the Goulburn River meandering around three sides of the town. Several parks, a walking trail and some private property hide the beautiful river, except where it is crossed when coming into town from the south. Seymour has two town centres. The first and original centre is in Emily Street where most of the accommodation and historic buildings are located. This was the Cobb and Co mail route and the Old Hume Highway road to cross the Goulburn River. The second centre is in Station Street. When the railway came to town in 1872, a new town centre developed and this is where most of the shops are today. |
