Western Australia
Western Australia is the largest State, 2.5 million square kilometres, and occupies the western third of the country. The population of approximately 2.3 million mainly live in the south west of the state. The 12,889 km of coastline offer pristine beaches and nine Marine Parks. Inland, the varying lanscape hosts over 12,000 species of wildflowers that begin their spectacular display as early as July in the north, and as late as November in the south.
